Fastest Triple Doubles in NBA History
Triple-double is the most incredible statistical feat in basketball and it can be achieved in many unique ways.
Here is a list of players who had the fastest triple-doubles in NBA history.
Nikola Jokic
Denver Nuggets’ center Nikola Jokic recorded the fastest triple-double in NBA history with 14 minutes and 33 seconds on Feb. 15, 2018. He finished the game with 30 points, 17 assists and 15 rebounds. In the meantime, he also became just the sixth player in the league to record a triple-double with at least 30 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists.
Jim Tucker
Jim Tucker had a triple-double in just 17 minutes against New York Knicks in 1955. The record remained intact for many years until Nikola Jokic broke it in 2018. Tucker played for Syracuse Nationals and won a championship with them in 1955. However, his NBA career lasted just three seasons.
Russell Westbrook
On April 11, 2016, Russell Westbrook recorded a triple-double with a stat line of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists. It took him just 17 minutes and 35 seconds to pull it off. Although Westbrook did not break Jim Tucker’s triple-double record, he came close to matching his achievement at least twice in his career.
Russell Westbrook
Russell Westbrook notched his second-quickest triple-double on Dec. 31, 2016. He accumulated 17 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists in 28 minutes. But he had his triple double by halftime. Westbrook needed only 18 minutes and 42 seconds to record that triple-double.
