Finals MVP Award is an annual National Basketball Association award given to the best performer in the finals,who contributes most in the team’s success.The award distribution started in 1969 and it is adjudicated by a panel of nine media members through voting system. The player with most votes wins the award.There are some players who won Finals MVP Award most in their career.
Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan is the only player who won six Finals MVP award, with a unique feat of winning three consecutive MVP Finals awards twice in his career,in 1991, 1992, 1993,then again in similar fashion in 1996,1997,1998.Michael Jordan started his pro basketball career in 1984 as a part of Chicago Bulls and led the team to win six championships in NBA,winning MVP Finals award in all six occasions.
Magic Johnson

Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O’Neal won three Finals MVP award throughout his career from the year 2000 to 2002.O’Neal and Michael Jordan were the only two players winning this award three times in a row.He earned three championships for Los Angeles Lakers and one for Miami Heat after his switching to Miami Heat in 2004.He is among one of those three players who won MVP award,All-Star game MVP and MVP Finals award in same year(2000).
Tim Duncan
Tim Duncan is a three times winner of Finals MVP award,won the award in 1999,2003 and 2005 season.Also won NBA Most Valuable Player and NBA rookie of the year award.He was selected for San Antonio Spurs in 1997.Under his leadership,Spurs won their all four NBA championship.
Willis Reed
Former basketball player Willis Reed received the Finals MVP award two times(1970,1973) in his professional career.In 1964,he was selected for New York Knicks and remained loyal to the team till the end of his career in 1974.After retirement,he coached various basketball teams including New York Knicks.
Larry Bird
Larry Bird was named Finals MVP in two seasons(1984,1986).He was included in one of those players who helped in the revival of NBA when it faced a slump in popularity.He joined Boston Celtics in 1979 and spent his entire playing career with Boston Celtics until his retirement in 1992.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was declaired NBA Finals MVP for two times(1971,1985),only player winning this award while playing for two different teams Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers.Firstly picked by Milwaukee Bucks in 1969,later on, in 1975 swicthed to Los Angeles Lakers and won six championships in NBA.
Hakeem Olajuwon
Hakeem Olajuwon earned two Finals MVP award back to back in 1994 and 1995 season,only player alongwith Kobe Bryant to win this award twice in a row.He played for Houston Rockets from 1984 to 2001 and led the team to two NBA championships.Before his retirement in 2002,he played only one season for Toronto Raptors.
Kobe Bryant
Kobe Bryant is a two time NBA Finals MVP award winner from 2009 to 2010,among those only two players who won this award two times back to back.Kobe started his NBA career in 1996.Originally selected by Charlotte Hornets but traded to Los Angeles Lakers without completing a single season for Charlotte Hornets,he led Los Angeles Lakers in five NBA championships.
