The “minutes played” became an official stat in 1951-52 season. Since then, 27 players have crossed 40,000 career minutes and only four of them went over 50,000 mark.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar holds the top spot in this category with 57, 446 minutes while Karl Malone played 54,852 total minutes in his career. He is No. 2 on the list, followed by Jason Kidd, Elvin Hayes and Kevin Garnett respectively.
