Top 7 Clutch Players in NBA History
Performing under extreme pressure (usually in the closing moments of the game) is a special ability. Some players are good in clutch situations than others and seem to get better when their team needs them the most. Let’s take a look at the most clutch NBA players of all-time.
1. Larry Bird
Larry bird is undoubtedly the greatest cluctch player in the history of NBA. His career is filled with buzzer beater and cluch heroics. Its difficult to pick Bird’s one clutch perfortmance as there are so many and each of them worths to be called memorable.
2. Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan was not only the greatest player ever to play the basketball but also an expert in hitting game winning shots especially in tight situations in finals when few seconds are left in the game or team trails by few points. For instance, he led the Bulls to the victory in the game 5 of 1997 finals with a three pointer in the last minute of the game. Then in 1998 finals Bulls were down by one point and few seconds were left, all eyers were on the Jordan and he pulled out an spectacular shot to win the game and also the sixth championship of his career.
3. Jerry West
Who else can deserve to be on this list more than a player who was nicknamed “Mr. Clutch”. Jerry West was the most dependable player for the Lakers in clutch situations. It seems illogical to not list a player who has already hit more than 30 game winning shots in his career and is looking good for smashing more. Kobe Bryant is a go-to-man for the Lakers in clutch situations.
