    This has happened so many times in sports history that two players come together, form a formidable pairing and complement each other’ s game brilliantly. NBA history is also filled with such dynamic pairs and duos. Here’s look at the 7 most dynamic duos in NBA history.

    1. Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul Jabbar

    They are widely regarded as the best duo ever to play in NBA. Throughout their 10 years run as teammates, they won five championship together and appeared in eight finals overall.

    2. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen

    Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen were two of greatest defenders the league has ever seen. In 1987, they teamed up to form one of the best duos in NBA history and led the Bulls to win six championships, from 1991 to 1998.

    3. Larry Bird and Kevin McHale

    Larry Bird and Kevin McHale  played together for the Boston Celtics from 1980 to 1992. They carried the team to five NBA finals, won three championships  (1981, 1984, 1986 ) and lost twice.

    4. Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant

    Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant was perhaps the most dominat 1-2 punch of the recent times. Despite personality clashes, they played together for eight years (1996-2004). They won three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002 and made a finals appearance in 2004 but they lost to the Boston Celtics.

    5. John Stockton and Karl Malone

    The duo of John Stockton and Karl Malone is considered by many as one of the best  in NBA history.  The two played a record 1,412 regular season games and 172 playoff games together as a teammate. In their 18 years together, they made the playoffs 18 times and the finals twice, but never won a championship though.

    6. Bill Russell and Bob Cousy

    Bill Russell and Bob Cousy combined for six NBA championships. They are reckon to be one of most versatile duo in NBA history since Bob Cousy led the offense while Bill Russell was strong on the defensive end.

    7. Julius Erving and Moses Malone

    Julius Erving and Moses Malone teamed up in 1983. The duo hit it off right from the beginning as they not only reach to the finals  of 1982-83 season but also won a championship that year. Furthermore, this was the first title for Philadelphia since 1967.
